Congratulations to Martin Baker (PhD Molecular Biology) who was elected to the position of First Year Representative on Saturday 26th November. Martin succeeds Eddie Lawrence and the committee wish him well in his new role!

For Freshers who will be arriving on or before Friday 30th September, there will be an informal drinks reception in the MCR from 8pm onwards on Friday 30th September. Feel free to say hello to fellow Petreans and enjoy a glass of wine or two before Freshers’ Week gets into full swing.

Fat Tuesday is coming. Prepare the masks and beads for a night of cocktail-based Mardi Gras Fun. 8pm in the MCR or 7pm if you need to personalise your own mask.

It knocks Pancake day into touch.

The MCR is hosting a symposium for Grads to showcase some of their research on the 20th of November.  It will kick-off at 11am and will end with high tea at 4pm. It is a great chance to hear how everyone else fills their days. Keep an eye on your email for a more complete timetable in the next few days. The master should be there and so should you!
